It has been awhile since I have posted anything on this blog. This blog is about to go through transformation. I will be posting  photography, graphic designs, devos, and more. I am excited to bring new life to this site. I say all of this so you won't be surprised by the changes you will see. Let's walk through this new season together.

A Heart's Season

My heart was ragged from the storm.  This world was supposed to be different.  If I followed your will the door would open, but I can't seem to find a key.  Through the trial, I found you.  I t was in the rain my will broke.  You were there in the rain and the mud.  You have found me. You held me.  I was not abandoned.  Today is a journey.  Time of sunshine.  Time of rain.  Time of rebirth.   Seasons.  With each step I am walking toward the new.  Through all seasons you are there.  Comforter for the pain.  Lover to the empty.  Healer of all.  You are there.

Sands of the Journey

By: Anna Bryant I have become a wanderer in the parched lands of a desert.    When I began this journey through dunes of an unknown land.  I was filled with excitement and ambition, ready to take on the world. No doubts. Not even a single worry. Now I have miles behind me and an unknown number still lay ahead.  The sun, which had filled me with a sense of adventure before, has now just become a painful reminder.  Another day has come and I have yet to complete what I started. I look in every direction. Sand. Sand is my past, present, and future. My heart is heavier than the pack in which I carry. There are no walls around me and yet any step I take appears meaningless. I scream with all my might, but it is just me here, alone. The sound bounces off the thoughts within my head. “You will die, before you find your dreams.” “You are all dried up.” “You are nothing.” I fall to me knees, my body tensed by the invisib...

Broken Rhythm

I did not know I would see this day come. Seven years ago my life was very different. Dark, pain filled, broken. But how the Lord has compassion on the brokenhearted. His heart is turned toward my outcries. I had turned away from God and pursued my own heart. I did not know His heart made my heart beat truer. His heart brought mine into proper rhythm. As years have passed our rhythm has reunited. Bringing hope, peace, and life. It has been a process of surrender. I saw the truth, He knows me, He knows the real me. Piecing the pieces of a shattered heart appears impossible. My Savior is willing to put his hand to the task. He has picked up each piece up with tenderness and care. placing each one into it's proper place. Growing pains filled as the pieces fit together to beat anew. There were misplaced beats as my heart searched for rhythm again.        Thump,             Thump --           ...

A Change of Step

"We can make our plans,     but the Lord determines our steps."                                         Proverbs 16:9 Tomorrow is filled with many things, many of which I cannot begin to imagine. I give my days to the one who made them, only He is worthy to carry them. I have been blessed with many years to live life. Each day has been a gift. Over the years I have been alive I have seen many remarkable things happen and have grown from every one of them. We are given a set number of days here on this earth; use them wisely. Share love with those around you. Learn what you can and do what you can to make this world a better place. You have a voice, speak truth. You have hands, use them to aid someone in need. You have a smile, share it freely to bring light and hope to another's day. You make a difference!

Colliding Worlds

Written by: Anna Bryant I stand in two worlds one of memory the other                     Forgotten. Memory gives a lot of  joy, pain, and love. Forgotten is peaceful, giving with it space to stretch, grow, and change. Forgotten is teaching me  to learn and be still. To let memory fade  allowing my body into a place of peace. Forgotten is revealing the value of memory's emotion. The emotion brings my framework to life, with the pain and joy. Pale is my life   without the paints of emotion coloring in my life. I remember today, only a today. Yesterday is gone.   A new beginning is now. Advance until the world of Forgotten becomes a memory then all there is left is Peace.

Living Praise

Written by: Anna Bryant Give me strength to follow you Lord. Help me to know your face in a crowd. Let me not lose sight of the goal while in this world of training.  I have struggled to run this race which was set for me, since before I was born.  I want to know how I can best praise  your name. Is it by dancing to a song giving you praise? Or by reciting the best written script imaginable? You say all these things will pass away…. So what is it you want from us? A question so many have strived to answer, yet why are so many unsatisfied. What if the best answer is contentment to your will…. what if we stop trying to chose what is worthy of your praise  instead,    Love like you did, Pray as you prayed to your Father, Trust in the promises you have made. Living out our faith instead of acting out faith.

A Prayer

Written By: Anna Bryant God! this stretching hurts. why do you let all the pain happen? why do you let me get hurt, over and over again. you have all power, yet, you let that board hit me in the head. you let my vision blur.  the world has lost all stability, my head is swimming, and nothing can calm the sea in my stomach from raging. you say you love me but there is so much pain. I know you are with me and sometimes that makes me feel worse. I know you can stop it all in a breath but the pain continues.  The Creator of the universe who loves me, but won't stop the pain. how is this preparing me? how does this make me stronger? Words cut deeper than the board could.  "Why do you get hurt all the time?" "Maybe we should put you in bubble wrap?" Each time, I fight the doubt that you, The Creator, might not care. I look around and see others who have not been through so much and I try hard not to envy them.  (A Breath) You are constant and I know this. you are fait...

A Curtain's Art

Written By: Anna Bryant The curtain is down,                      the music is over. The costumes have been stored away. Now what? The rushing voices are silent. Nothing but the ghosts of what has been remain. Set has been demolished leaving nothing but a stage. Now what is there for me? An empty stage. Filled with the history of the past WIth the full potential of the new. What is the next story to be told? The great minds          Shakespeare,                          Chekhov,                                        Brecht. All who understood the pains of the theater. Who were they to know? All bring something new to the stage. People make the story. History, creation, art. Art which to...

To Stand Once More

Written by: Anna Bryant You no longer look me in the eyes. See me for who I am. How did I lose my worth to you? All love has left your eyes. How many days feel as though they are caught? Caught in fast forward motion. Does anyone see me? Do I see me? I see you. I see your strength. You have been hit by so many lethal words. Yet you still choose to stand for truth. Love has not left my eyes, Your love for yourself is what you no longer accept. Let go of your self judgement. Look through my eyes,                            see what I see.                                             Wholeness.     ...

A Day's Heartbeat

Written by: Anna Bryant Pulsing beats course through my body.  My mind still quiet as midnight.  The world unconscious to these brave few who face the day before the waking of dawn.  Preparing themselves to slay the dragons of the day.  Sleep is left like a ghost in the bed which they left only with the body heat of what had been.  Music assisting with the morning drive to push forward.  To focus.  My heart begins to race along with the speed of your feet drumming the ground.  The first mountain of the day, complaining muscles just encourage us to continue on.   The adventure of the day has started...

Sterile Mold

By: Anna Bryant     This world was not what people said It is exaggerated , stretched , or faded .  What is the fear of being real?   So many choose to be plastic or copies of another.  They fall into the mold by trying to break it.  All such imitation are the shimmer of the truth. Of what is real...   The children are the ones without false actions. They show us the true freedom.  Giving us hope to have that same unbroken trust.  We make life sterile due to a pointed fear.   With no chance taken, no life is lived.  Creativity cannot be birthed without stepping out of fear and into something new.  Will you dare to gaze at the new....

Freedom's not Free

This is a week to remember our freedom, our freedom in christ. "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery"                                       Galatians 5:1

Emotions

By: Anna Bryant      Emotions are humans blessing and curse.  The heart is one of the most fragile pieces of this world.  Your mind try's to grasp what exactly your emotions are,  Are they happy?  Are sad?  What are they?  People think they have their own emotions figured out.  Do they?  Broken hearts mend through time and friends.  Friends that keep you close.  Emotions are confusing, but I think it is a way Christ molds into more like him.  Are emotions real? Can they be trusted?  What is the purpose for them?  Emotions equal questions,  Questions equal searching,  Searching equal understanding,  Understanding shows us purpose,  And purpose proves God.  Emotions can be painful but through them you gain understanding.  I really don't know the answer "are emotions good for us?" but I am searching.

You Were Here

Image
Written by: Anna Bryant In memory of James Owens You were there. With your deep, dark eyes looking into my small form. Your hands, used to hard work, touching my spirit Who knew I would be so much like you?!   You watched me when I toddled around the room gazing for adventure. Watching as I learned to pick myself up, teaching me. Scolding me with a rough tone while I fell into fits of giggles when you pretended to be grumpy. I saw your heart, your love, your spirit.   You were always there for each performance no matter what my role was. I learned to expect you there. I eagerly awaited the hug that always followed at the end of a performance. I loved how your face lit up when it found mine.   I'm not sure when it happened but you always amazed me. You became my hero. I wanted to work with wood because you did it. I wanted to learn about cars because of you.   Now you’re gone. And I now have broken pieces of my heart that ache after you. I can't run into those strong ...

You are more...

Judgements

Remember your words have power to build up or destroy, speak truth in love  By: Anna Bryant I watch you smile with another's blood dripping from your fangs. You push and shove to get your way, leaving destruction as a trail behind you.  Do you not care about the dreams you've crushed? The hearts you've broken? The searing pain you've slit in others passions by speaking filthy lies.  A heart has been turned to stone by your loathing words.  You carry the blame of what you stole.  You will be tried,                 And found guilty with her blood on your hands.  May God be your judge! Lord God help the broken and shattered spirit. Bind up the broken shards. Use this pain. Transform the broken wing into one filled with serving strength. Give courage to fly again. May we all be filled and shine your glory! All power to you Lord!
