Colliding Worlds

Written by: Anna Bryant

I stand in two worlds
one of memory
the other
                    Forgotten.

Memory gives a lot of
 joy, pain, and love.

Forgotten is peaceful,
giving with it space to stretch, grow, and change.

Forgotten is teaching me
to learn and be still.

To let memory fade
allowing my body into a place of peace.

Forgotten is revealing
the value of memory's emotion.

The emotion brings my framework to life,
with the pain and joy.

Pale is my life
without the paints of emotion coloring in my life.

I remember today,
only a today.

Yesterday is gone.
A new beginning is now.

Advance until the world of Forgotten becomes a memory
then all there is left is Peace.
